IPL treatment

Discover the benefits of non-invasive and effective IPL treatment.

Looking for an effective solution to remove freckles, age marks, sun spots and mild to moderate acne? Look no further than our Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Skin Laser Genesis treatments. These treatments are interchangeable and are highly effective in reducing facial redness and evening out skin tone.

At Laser Aesthetics, our expert technicians will recommend the best treatment for your skin type and condition. In some cases, they may recommend a combination of IPL and Skin Laser Genesis treatments for optimal results.

Each IPL treatment shows significant improvement, working by delivering intense pulses of light that penetrate deep into the skin, targeting the root of the problem.

How it works

Our Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment uses targeted light energy to penetrate beneath the skin’s surface, effectively breaking down unwanted brown pigment and small veins. This process causes the pigment to fragment into tiny particles that are then either reabsorbed by the body or sloughed off naturally. The end result is a more even skin tone and a reduction in the appearance of blemishes such as freckles, age spots and sun damage.

FAQs

Most clients feel a light pinging, like a rubber band flicking the skin, and most people can tolerate it. But let your nurse know if it hurts. The laser feels similar to being in the sun and has a cooling tip that protects your skin from the heat of the skin laser treatment.

After Intense Pulsed Light treatment the area may be a little red for a time, just like after waxing. Your aesthetics nurse will apply Aspect Dr SPF sunscreen if your laser treatment is on your face. Spots usually appear over the next few days, which means the treatment has been effective. These will slough off but will be visible for a time. Results vary between individuals.

Our nurses are trained laser therapists, so you’re in safe hands. Laser therapy and Intense Pulsed Light treatments have been around for a long time. The laser beam is safe on skin but can be harmful to your eyes. We all wear glasses for protection.

What laser machine is used for Intense Pulsed Light or other treatment?

Laser Aesthetics use state-of-the-art Cutera machines. Cutera machines have proven safety records. Many other machines may not offer as effective treatment or may require many more treatments.

Typically, your first skin laser session will be 45 minutes, including a consultation.
