Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Laser Genesis treatments for your face.
State-of-the-art treatment for fine wrinkles, sun spots, acne and red cheeks
Our IPL and Genesis skin laser treatments are interchangeable. Your therapist will recommend the best option for you, which may include a combination of both services.
Laser Genesis is more subtle over time in that it does not disrupt the skin surface. The laser energy stimulates new collagen growth by ‘worrying’ the dermis (the layer below the skin surface) causing it to go into repair mode. Pore size is reduced so that fine lines and pitted skin flattens out, resulting in plumper, firmer-looking skin.
With IPL, high-intensity light pulses help to remove freckles, age marks, sun spots, uneven skin tone and mild to moderate acne. This light energy goes below the skin’s surface where unwanted brown pigment and small veins are. The energy breaks the pigment into tiny particles that are either reabsorbed by your body or come to the surface to eventually slough off.
We also offer facial medi-treatments – these are lactobotanical peels that are powerful, yet gentle.
The facial encourages skin renewal through exfoliation, while also hydrating your skin.
Your first appointment with us will be a consultation to determine your treatment plan.

Will it hurt?
Most people feel a light pinging like a rubberband flicking your skin, as the probe pulses over the skin (or for Dermapen treatment as the micro needles penetrate the skin). While most people feel it they can also easily tolerate it.
If the treatment is on your face, it feels similar to being in the sun. Your therapist can adjust the heat if it feels too warm.
Will I need an injection?
There are no injections for laser facial or spider vein treatment nor any for IPL treatments.
How does it work?
Your therapist glides the probe gently over the treatment area until the vessels reduce. The laser heats the abnormal vessels causing them to collapse and seal off.
The probe has a cooling tip that protects your skin from the heat of the laser.
Intense pulsed light (IPL)
High-intensity light pulses go below the skin’s surface where unwanted brown pigment and small veins are.
The energy breaks the pigment into tiny particles that are either reabsorbed by your body or come to the surface to eventually slough off.
Microneedling with dermapen
Minute needles penetrate the skin to stimulate the layer beneath the surface causing the skin to start its natural healing process. This promotes collagen and elastin production – two properties that help make our skin look plumper and smoother.
How long does it take?
Your first appointment includes a 15-minute consultation to work out the best treatment plan for you.
Your therapist may recommend an ultrasound scan if you have varicose veins.
Sometimes these require treatment before your therapist can perform laser therapy for you.
Allow 45 minutes for all first treatments.
How many treatments will I need?
Laser therapy or IPL treatment
The number of treatments will depend on the condition of the area being treated. Our recommended number of treatments is six but this may vary with individuals.
Your therapist will estimate how many treatments you will need at your consultation.
We recommend three treatments.
Are there any side effects?
After treatment, the area may be slightly red for a short time.
Your therapist will apply SPF 50 sunblock if your treatment is on your face.
Your therapist will provide complimentary skincare samples for use after your dermapen treatment.
Your therapist will provide all the information you need at your consultation.
Is it safe?
Our nurses are trained vascular nurses, so you’re in safe hands.
Laser therapy and IPL are gentle procedures that have been around for a long time. The laser beam is safe on skin but can be harmful to our eyes. We all wear safety glasses to protect our eyes.
Our Cutera machines are high spec, with proven safety records. Many other machines may not offer as effective treatment or may require many more treatments.
Dermapen treatments stimulate the skin to repair itself, unlike fillers where you are introducing a foreign matter into your body.
Q Card finance options
We offer our patients a convenient way to pay for their laser therapy. With 12 months no payments and no interest on treatments $200 and over, you can get the treatment you want, when you want it.
